Nursery is ALMOST finished!!!

This weekend we got his room pretty much finished up. Just a few minor quick things that need to be done still. I now need to work on the rest of the house as it was destroyed while finishing up his room. There are tons of boxes and bags of trash from unwrapping all of his items from the showers. I'm glad to have everything pretty well in order. It's going to just be a waiting game. I also need to get the hospital bag packed. I have a lot in his diaper bag already but also want to make sure that it fully ready to go. Hard to believe we are only 3 weeks away from our due date!!!

 Obviously the stuffed animals, blankets, and burp cloths will not be there when he is here :)

We also have white letters for his name that we still need to hang about his bed. When that is done I'll upload another picture.  

 This is the glider in the corner of his room. One of my favorite places to sit already. I probably spend a little bit of time in there each morning and night. When we were finishing up his room and his chair was not in his room I realized how much I missed spending a little bit of time in his room each day.

Thinking of doing a decal that says "A Baby Fills A Place In Your Heart You Didn't Know Was Empty" but we haven't decided for sure if that's what we want to do.  

This is the wall where his cube storage is. Yes that is a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree we already have up :) Not a permanent decoration but we couldn't help but put it up early. I bet a lot of our Christmas stuff gets put up soon. 

Family Baby Shower - 10/23

And last post for the day. The family baby shower. My Aunts hosted this shower for me and the turn out was amazing!! We ended up getting nearly everything we needed for the little guy and what we didn't get in actually present we got enough in gift cards to cover!! After the baby showers and our family helping get the nursery ready I am feeling very blessed. Wesley is coming into an amazing family and friends that already love him so much!! He is a very lucky little boy!!!

Getting The Nursery Ready

Here are some photos from getting the nursery ready over the weekend. We are not quite done yet. We still need to finish the chalkboard wall (which I don't even have photos of it being started) and then we can get everything moved back into Wesley's room and get things organized. Right now everything from the showers are in the spare bedroom, his changing table is in the hallway along with his closet doors, and the rocking chair is sitting in the spare bedroom. Needless to say baby stuff is EVERYWHERE!!! But I realize that's not changing anytime soon, and I am more than okay with that!! I can't wait for this little guy to be here!! :)

Friend Baby Shower - Oct 15th.

Here are a few photos from our Friend Baby Shower. We had such an amazing turn out and got so many great gifts. I couldn't Thank the girls enough for throwing this shower for me. Being surround by the ones you love is simply a blessing.

Here we are opening up one of the many presents we got that day.

Here are the personalized burp rags we got. I loved them and highly doubt they are ever actually used.

This onsie made me laugh so hard. It says "Potty like a rock star"

We also did a toilet paper game where people had to guess how many toilet paper squares went around me. The first picture is of a friend Lisa trying to guess how many squares and the bottom is of me being measured. I was actually 13 squares. It was a fun game! The one thing I"ll remember about that game for a long time is when I seen my Mom measure around here and I thought "Isn't that sweet she thinks I'm that small" only to have her then take the toilet paper roll and unroll it several times extra!! LOL Gotta love your mama right?

We also had a diaper raffle which brought in a ton of diapers for us!! Although I'm willing to bet those diapers aren't going to last nearly as long as I think they will.

Christan McCoy took our photos for us as a shower gift and she is absolutely amazing!! I loved her creativity and style that she brought to the pictures. We already have her booked to take family photos in December when Wesley is here!!

I'm going to try very very hard to keep this updated. At times I might have a lot to blog about and at other times maybe just some picture updates. Probably more pictures than anything if we want to be 100% honest.

My goal is to use this blog to document Wesley growing up. I'll start with a few post just about preparing for him. Baby Showers, Getting his room ready, and then the post we'll all be waiting for....his arrival (and beyond)!!
