8 Months

A Month has passed already and I didn't get any blogging done in-between. Life seems so busy lately. Wesley is getting bigger each day and learning new things. He is able to pull himself up on his knees with certain objects. He has perfected this in his crib! He's even figured out a few times how to get into a standing position with minimal help.

We noticed two days ago that he has two top teeth breaking through his gums and it looks like very possibly he will be having a third one coming right behind the other two. He really is such a great baby! His teething has caused him to be clingy and not really want to be left alone a lot. It seems to disrupt his sleep in the early morning hours around 5ish. But other than that he's pretty good. I don't have to give him a ton of Tylenol to help with crankiness or anything like that. I've seen some babies that just have melt downs while teething and I'm thankful for Wesley not having teething issues like that. He also pulls on his ears a lot when he's teething.

Just before he turned 8 months he had his very first sleep over at Nana and Papas!! I wasn't quite sure how me or Dad would do being away from him. But we were able to keep ourselves busy and my parents sent us lots of photos so it didn't go as badly as I expected it. We went to St. Louis for our Anniversary and had something planned for the whole time we were away. Wesley of course had a good time and Mom and Dad said he was great.

Today we spent some time out at Mom and Dad's and got to see a few of the go-carts run around the track before the actual races started. Little man loves everything to do with anything with motors!!!

In the last month he's also learned how to sit himself up from laying on the floor. And just recently learned how to army crawl so he's getting around pretty well these days. He also loves his walker and is now able to make it go even on the carpet which he struggled with before.

His routine has stayed pretty much the same with his bedtime, naps, and such. Although I'm finding more and more that he's not so keen on being rocked to sleep too often. He'll cuddle with me for a moment or two and then wants to be left in his crib to fall asleep. Every now and then he fusses and I go back in to pick him up and snuggle him for just a few more moments before I put him back down and he stays to sleep.

His eating has also not seen much of a change. He eats 20 oz a day still but his solids have increased. He now eats about 12 - 18 oz of solids a day and I'm starting to transition him a little more to table food vs the baby food.

I had to take him to the doctors this month because he just sounded so congested and was really starting to become quite fussy because of it. Turns out he had a sinus infection and had to go on amoxicillin for 10 days. That cleared him up and I was also given permission to use Benadryl when needed. At that appointment they weighted him clothed and he was around 19 lbs. He is just now getting to where a majority of his 3-6 month clothing is too small or getting there. So I think by next month for sure we'll be in just 6-9 and maybe 9-12 months??

I didn't get an actual 7 month photo taken of him but I’m gonna just cheat and take one tomorrow and then will take the 8 month one in a couple of weeks. I don't think he's changed to terribly much from 6-7 months at least in looks. I got plenty of pictures of him during the 7 months just not the white onsie with the 7 month sticker on it yet :(

Well I'm going to close out this post and try and get some more photos up. One of these days I might be caught up :)
